Modes of Adventure

Introduction to Winter Camping course – February 15 & 16, at Usherville.
Gain the knowledge and practice the skills needed to help you Comfortably extend your camping adventures to Year-round!
You don’t need any previous winter camping experience, we will build on your knowledge of fair-weather camping, teaching you what to modify and how to manage the extra challenges that cold-weather camping entails.
(Note: you don’t need to own a hot tent or fancy gear to attend this course. We will provide a recommended gear list and teach you how you can extend the use of your warmer weather gear into winter)
The Introduction to Winter Camping is geared for beginners, and is Challenge-By-Choice, meaning you only push yourself as much as you’re comfortable with.
There is a heated classroom (garage) on the property in which participants can sleep in if the need arises.
